Egmond aan zee
Egmond consist of three villages, Egmond binnen, Egmond aan den hoef and the most important part Egmond aan zee
Egmond aan zee dates from the 12th century, and was known as a little fishing-village. Later Tourism came into
the lifes of the locals and now Egmond is one of the best known and most beautiful seaside resorts of Noord-Holland.
Sun, sea and beach is what you get, dressed with a beautiful new boulevard and several lovely restaurants and a cosy village center.
In the mainseason there is a Eveningmarket every Wednesday, and on Sunday evenings there is live music around the mainssquare, where
most of the restaurants and cafees are located. From the mainssquare the mainstreet starts. On this street are a lot of pleasant shops, most
of them are open on sundays as well.
